Bu eser, Fransız oryantalist ressam Eugène Fromentin tarafından yapılmış olabilir. Eugène Fromentin, 19. yüzyılda yaşamış ve Kuzey Afrika'da yaptığı seyahatlerden ilham alarak oryantalist tarzda eserler üretmiş bir sanatçıdır. Fromentin, özellikle Sahra Çölü, Cezayir ve Fas gibi bölgelerdeki Bedevi yaşamını, göçebe kültürünü ve doğanın genişliğini resimlerinde işleyen tanınmış bir ressamdır.
Bu tabloda, bir grup atlı ve çadırların bulunduğu bir çöl manzarası betimlenmiştir. Görüntüde, geleneksel kıyafetler giymiş figürler, çadırlar, köpekler ve arka planda doğal bir manzara yer almakta. Fromentin'in eserlerinde sıklıkla görülen pastoral ve dramatik gökyüzü, bu resimde de belirgin bir şekilde işlenmiş. Kompozisyonda kullanılan renkler ve figürlerin yerleşimi, sahnenin derinliğini ve dinamizmini artırıyor.
